About the Business

As a newborn and children’s photographer (and mum), I am in love with the beauty and innocence of childhood. There is so much to remember about those first few days and years. I love documenting the quiet slumbers, the smiles and the frowns, the giggles and the raspberries, the twirls and the roly-polys. I will never tire of capturing mum and dad’s loved-up (if often tired!) smiles for their new babies.

Forming relationships with my clients is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my job. I feel a genuine bond to my families and enjoy seeing them again and again as their babies grow into happy toddlers and confident children – and as new little ones join the fold!

I am proud to be a completely self-taught photographer. My passion for photographing people and places culminated in 2008, with the launch of my portrait business – one of the first in the country to specialise in contemporary newborn, children and and baby photography.

Originally from Sicily, I moved to the UK in 1997 but have never stopped carrying the warmth and colour of my homeland with me. Both have been a huge inspiration for my natural portraiture. When not found behind a camera, in front of a PC or sipping a fine cup of coffee, I enjoy cooking, reading graphic novels, keeping fit and exploring the world with my two girls and my partner.

The Natural Light Portrait Studio

My natural light home studio is located in the northwestern suburbs of Basingstoke, Hampshire, and can be easily reached from both London and the South via the M3, and from Berkshire via the A33.

It is a warm, quiet, bright and welcoming environment – just perfect for maternity, newborn and baby photo sessions. It receives beautiful natural daylight even on dark winter days thanks to its large windows and dual aspect; its versatile arrangement enables me to create a wide variety of sets and looks for your baby and family portraits, including some that would be tricky to achieve on a home visit.

A large HDTV screen and beautiful wall art products displayed around the room also make this space ideal for ordering appointments, when we will view your finished portraits and plan your own home arrangements together over a latte and yummy treats.

Maternity and Newborn

Capturing the first few days of a baby’s arrival into his family’s world is a privilege, and an aspect of my work that I love. I have been photographing maternity and newborn babies from my studio in Basingstoke and at clients’ homes in London, Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey since the very start of my business in 2008.

The ethos of my baby photography is to keep it natural and organic, with relaxed, unaffected posing and minimal and tasteful props. In April 2016, I moved my burgeoning new baby portfolio to a separate website, to give it a more fitting space and branding.
