About the Business

I’ve been in love with both photography, and the idea of photography, since I was a child. It’s the most tangible way of capturing life, love and emotions, whether it’s the love of your life or the love you have for your children.

I love taking photographs, but the best part without a doubt is seeing the joy on your faces when you see your images for the first time. It’s the best job in the world!

At 10 I was given a Kodak camera and used to make my little brother (David now 42!) model for me. Then, as a teenager, I wanted to be a war photographer – but my parents thought that was a really bad idea! I took photographs as a hobby and had a corporate career for quite a few years and then decided several years ago that I still really wanted to be a professional photographer – although luckily I’d gone off the idea of being a war photographer!

There really is a world of difference between an amateur photographer and a professional, so I made a commitment to train to become a professional photographer. Since then I have invested every year in continuous ongoing training, because I want to keep improving as a photographer. I have a lovely studio near West Kirby Marine Lake at 103 Banks Road.
