About the Business
Richard Doughty is a multi award winning photographer who has been in the business for over 30 years. He started his career and learnt his trade at the Press Agency in York where he freelanced for the national and regional press and various magazines.
In 1988 he was appointed as District North Yorkshire photographer for The Northern Echo before being promoted to Chief Photographer, running a department of eight.
He has been named as North East Photographer of the Year on three occasions and been runner-up another three times as well as been highly commended in the prestigious Nikon Awards. His business now is to create exciting images which stand out in this user generator age, for Press, PR and Commercial use.
