We are husband and wife team Martyn and Yvonne who together offer a range of Professional photography to suit client requirement.

Based in Somerset the mainstay of the business is independent school photography with such notable clients as Millfield and Blundell's schools. For each school we have created their own photograph website under the M&Y Lacey Photography banner.

We produce formal school photographs such as house and team together with informal pupil friend groups capturing the spirit of youth and friendships.

Formerly Ken Nicholls School Photography, the business continues to build on the standards set and close relationships with the schools since 1983. Ken, with his vast experience, remains as consultant.

Our family group portrait photography covers many aspects both formal and informal. Groups can be photographed at the family home against a backdrop or at a particular location.

Personal portraits tend to be less formal now and can be taken whilst in pursuit of a favourite pastime or at work as well as in the home. We endeavour to capture the character of the person and the surroundings where ever we photograph.

School Photo

School Photo

A school photograph should be part of a record, on which to reflect in the future, of a pupil's school life. This record should include, not just the passing of the years, but of the achievements, friendships and fun along the way.

We photograph formal individual house, team and pupil groups in the traditional manner, whilst our informal photos have proved very popular among the pupils, staff and parents alike portraying groups in theatrical or comical pose. These are most often themed by the pupils themselves coming up with the ideas.

Since 1983 Ken Nicholls has built a reputation for delivering the finest photographic prints for independent schools in the area, a reputation we continue to build on now as Nicholls & Lacey Schools Photography.

We also endeavour to capture the friendships among students within our small group photos.
