I am Sussex wedding photographer, Martin Beddall, and I specialise in documentary wedding photography. I work in an honest and natural photojournalistic style. Images captured rather than contrived. I shoot weddings throughout the UK and abroad.

I use the natural light as much as possible, as this allows me to be unobtrusive, a fly on the wall. My background is in editorial photography and photojournalism, and I approach wedding days as if I was a shooting a classic reportage photo essay for a magazine.

Good wedding photography is fundamentally good storytelling in my opinion. If focuses on the characters, the fleeting moments, the emotions. Ten years from now, the taste of the cake and the smell of the flowers may have faded in your memory, but you will have my photos to treasure for ever.
