Type 'definition of photography' into Google and the results will look something like below. Noun: The art or practice of taking and processing photographs. As a definition this is accurate, but it doesn't tell the whole story. To me, photography is all about seeing something beautiful/breathtaking/awe-inspiring in front of you and attempting to capture that moment on your chosen medium, be it film, or more likely today, digital. It is also about expressing an idea, bringing something to life which might be only in your head, but with the aid of a camera and Photoshop evolves and becomes real. Photography means searching out new and unusual places or looking for a new angle to get that unique/magical image. It can mean numerous trips out, only to get to a place and be confronted with the unexpected, which simply can't be worked 'round. Oh well, back to the drawing board, or Google Maps!
