About the Business

James Winspear was born in Bristol. After tunneling his way out of boarding school he landed at Bournemouth & Poole College of Art & Design, where he spent four happy years taking pictures, growing his hair and dancing badly in the local clubs. He left the soft sands of the south coast for the Big Smoke deciding that he hadn't quite spent long enough at college. He enrolled at The London College of Printing, graduating with a BA in Photography. His first commission was for design magazine Blueprint to photograph the interiors of a new colourful bar-restaurant designed by architects, JAM. The photographs were used in numerous magazines including The New York Times. Since then he has worked for clients such as Tesco, Harrods, Space NK, Harvey Nichols, TKMaxx and has had his photographs published in The Saturday Telegraph Magazine, Elle, ICON, The Financial Times 'How To Spend It Magazine', Management Today and The London Magazine.
