John Young Photography. My name is John Young and I am married to Katie and together we are John Young Photography. When Katie is not working with me she is a nurse in a local hospital, a mother to our two children, and a superb cook.

I started photography nearly 30 years ago way back when I was 16 years old using a 35mm film camera that my brother gave me. After this I was hooked and would photograph anything and everything and that was the start of my love affair with photography. Being a professional Photographer is my full time job and with years of experience I have had the pleasure to photography many weddings over the years and I truly feel privileged to be be a part of such a special day doing something I love.

I have also worked with other art mediums over the years including watercolours, oil paints and pastels. Painting everything from portraits to landscapes, so uniquely I have a different view on photography compared to many other photographers. I like to capture wedding photographs that are very special and different which you will hang on your living room wall and cherish forever.

I am 45 and I live in the small village of Waterhouses close to Durham with my two children Bethany and William and I love reading, cycling, movies and having fun with my family on one of our many family days out to castles, beaches and anywhere else we may wander.
