About the Business
Steele Images is the trading name of full-time professional photographer Jim Steele. After leaving college with a photography diploma in 1986, he has been working in the field ever since, initially working for a sports picture agency and covering sport all over the world.
In 1990, Jim decided to go freelance in order to incorporate music photography into his work, the genre that sparked his interest in photography when he was 14. Within a year he had built up such a reputation as a music photographer that he secured the position of house photographer at London's Wembley Arena, a role he holds to this day.
Not wanting to leave his sporting roots behind, Jim continues to shoot sport for the national press and commercial clients, attending a number of FIFA World Cups and UEFA Championships on their behalf, as well as prolifically covering domestic football.
